Moving women & children out of poverty

House with Heart (HwH) is a charity that provides a home for abandoned children, an education center for impoverished women and children, and an outreach program for needy families in Kathmandu, Nepal.

This non-profit NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) was founded by Beverly Bronson in 2001, when she found two children, Krishna and Babu aged five and two, huddled in front of a tin hut after being abandoned by their mother.

Our founder Beverly Bronson and baby Abhaya in 2016.

Krishna and Babu, aged 5 & 2, were found huddled by their tin hut.

The Second House includes our young adult transition quarters, Learning Center, and Wellness Clinic.

House with Heart went on to build a facility that housed the children’s home and education center.

Sadly, Beverly passed away in May of 2018. She built a resilient organization that carries on her important work. The Board of Directors now oversees all House with Heart operations.

Beverly's dream was to significantly expand services by building a second house. Thanks to the generosity of donors, we completed the construction of this new building in June 2019.
